Faculty Position in Atmospheric Sciences: The Department of Atmospheric Sciences, National Central University (NCU) in Taiwan invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the levels of assistant, associate or full professor to begin from 1 August 2016.  Appointment will be made at a rank appropriate to the experience of the candidate.  Outstanding candidates with Ph.D. degree and at least one-year independent research experience are encouraged to apply.  We especially welcome applicants with expertise in one or more of the following research areas: atmospheric environment, climate, weather, and/or other potential specialties applicable to the department’s existing research programs.  Particular consideration will be given to candidates working in atmospheric chemistry and/or air quality modeling.  The successful candidate will berequired to (1) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mandarin or English, (2) develop strong research programs and publications, (3) supervise and mentor students, and (4) provide effective service to the department, university and larger professional community.  For full consideration applications, preferably as a single PDF file that includes a detailed curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and research interests along with a cover letter, should be received by February 17, 2016 via email to tyenmc@atm.ncu.edu.tw.  In addition, candidates should arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to the same address.  Inquiries about the positions should be directed to: Professor Ming-Cheng Yen, Chairman, Department of Atmospheric Sciences, National Central University, Chung-Li, 32001, Taiwan, (Phone: +886-3-422-0270, Fax: +886-3-425-6841, Email: tyenmc@atm.ncu.edu.tw).
